L'AiRE de la Gileppe

A place for reflection, production and presentation. L’AiRE de la Gileppe is an informal residency that simply aims to invite artists from different disciplines who want to relate their work to the site and the people.
L’AiRE is an abbreviation of Artist-in-Residency and refers to the l’aires de repos that can be found on French highways. Rest stops, where you can take a break and unwind before continuing your journey. Located in nature at the Lac de la Gileppe the artist is asked to approach the place itself to create a site-specific work and to enter an interaction with the visitors of the site. The residency is project-based, course and outcome depends on the artist.
